NewVIc is a highly successful and expanding college. The demand for post-sixteen education in this part of London is considerable and we play a key role in providing a wide programme of opportunities for students in our community. We have high expectations of ourselves as a college and, also, of our students. Our results to date have shown that such expectation has not been misplaced.
We’re looking for staff who are enthusiastic about education, well qualified in their area of expertise, enjoy working with young people and are prepared to assist in the further growth and development of this college. At NewVlc, you will find a spirit of friendliness and teamwork, enabling us to face future challenges with confidence.
If you feel you have something to offer and are excited at the prospect of working with us then please take a look at our current vacancies.

We are one of the largest sixth form colleges in London with more than 2,500 students. Non-selective and secular, we have supported the progression of 50,000 young people onto university, training and employment since we were founded in 1992. Ofsted rated us ‘good’ in all areas in 2015. Our results in 2016 include 228 triple-distinctions or higher at vocational level 3 and 41% of A-level candidates achieving A*-B grades.
Our college combines high quality facilities with excellent teaching, tailored support and a strong sense of community. An investment of £9m in a new building has provided a state-of-the-art technology enabled learning resource centre.
NewVIc is a place to learn, thrive and achieve. We encourage and support students to become resilient independent thinkers and learners; we challenge them to see and think in new ways – to look at the world afresh.
The college has a vibrant, diverse culture rooted in ambition and equality. Artists rub shoulders with engineers.
We offer our students the most extensive choice of academic and vocational pathways in Newham, this means young people can choose the course that suits their interests and strengths, and that will best equip them to achieve their goals.
The college supports the professional development of its staff. A strong team culture in the college provides a stimulating environment in which to develop your skills.
The college offers salary sacrifice schemes such as Childcare Vouchers, CycleScheme, PhoneScheme and ComputingScheme.
We also participate in the Local Government Pension and Teacher Pension Schemes, as well as offering generous leave entitlements.
Staff also have access to free parking.
